What an
Inventory Scroll Does
An Inventory Scroll is a handheld tool that lets you view and manage the contents of a MineColonies building's inventory without physically walking to the building and opening its storage. This is invaluable once your colony grows and you have dozens of huts scattered across the map. The colored variants (Black, Blue, Red, etc.) exist purely for organization — you can assign a different color to each building type or district so you grab the right scroll at a glance.
Step-by-Step Usage
1. Craft or obtain an Inventory Scroll (any color works identically).
2. Right-click the scroll in the air to open its interface, or right-click a specific MineColonies building block (like a hut's chest or the hut block itself) to bind the scroll to that building.
3. Once bound, right-click while holding the scroll to open a remote view of that building's inventory.
4. Use the interface to deposit or withdraw items directly, as long as you are within the colony's loaded chunks.
5. To rebind, sneak-right-click to clear the current binding, then right-click a new building.
Practical Tips
- Keep a chest near your town hall stocked with color-coded scrolls so you can grab the one you need quickly.
- The
Copy Scroll can duplicate a bound scroll, letting you hand out copies to other players on a server. - If the scroll shows no contents, make sure the target building is loaded and that you are still within the colony's territory.
