How to Use Resource Scrolls to Track Colony Resources

What a Resource Scroll Does

A Resource Scroll gives you a live readout of the resources your colony currently has available — typically the contents of your warehouse and other storage buildings combined. Instead of running to the town hall or warehouse every time you need to check whether you have enough oak logs or iron ingots, you can glance at the scroll. Like Inventory Scrolls, Resource Scrolls come in many colors so you can dedicate one to each resource category or to each warehouse.

How to Bind and Read It

1. Obtain a Resource Scroll (any color).

2. Right-click the scroll to open its interface.

3. If the scroll needs to be bound to a warehouse or storage building, right-click that building's block while holding the scroll.

4. Open the scroll again — you should now see a list of items and their quantities.

5. Use the search or filter field (if present in your version) to find a specific resource quickly.

Practical Tips

  • Bind one scroll per warehouse if your colony has multiple storage buildings; a single scroll only shows the storage it is linked to.
  • Pair a Resource Scroll with a Clipboard or your colony's request system to decide what to craft next.
  • If numbers look stale, close and reopen the scroll — the view refreshes on open rather than continuously.
  • Use color coding: e.g. green scroll for food, gray for building materials, blue for ores.
