How to Copy a Scroll with the Copy Scroll
Why Copy Scrolls Matter
The
Copy Scroll is the utility item that lets you duplicate an already-bound Inventory or Resource Scroll. This is essential on multiplayer servers where several players need access to the same building's inventory, or when you want a backup scroll in case you lose one. Without it, every player would have to walk to the building and bind their own scroll manually.
Copying a Scroll
1. Obtain a Copy Scroll and the source scroll you want to duplicate (the source must already be bound to a building or warehouse).
2. Place both in your inventory.
3. Open the Copy Scroll's interface (right-click while holding it).
4. Insert the source scroll into the input slot and a blank scroll of the same type (Inventory or Resource) into the output slot.
5. Confirm the copy action. The output scroll will inherit the binding of the source.
6. Remove the new scroll — it now points at the same target as the original.
Practical Tips
- You cannot copy an unbound scroll into a bound one; the source must already be linked.
- The color of the copy matches the blank scroll you supplied, so you can recolor a binding by copying it onto a different-colored blank.
- Keep the Copy Scroll itself in a safe chest at your base — it is a reusable tool, not consumed per copy in most setups.
