TaCZ Weapons and Tactics Mod — Guide
Attachments & Customization
TaCZ features a real-time attachment UI (default key: Z) that allows players to modify their weapons on the fly. Attachments provide both buffs and debuffs to weapon handling.
Attachment Categories
- Optical Sights: Ranges from Red Dots (1x) to Sniper Scopes (up to 60x). Affects Aim Down Sights (ADS) speed and field of view.
- Muzzles: Includes Silencers (reduces sound and muzzle flash), Muzzle Brakes (reduces recoil), and Flash Hiders.
- Grips: Such as the Talon Grip. These primarily reduce vertical and horizontal recoil or improve hip-fire accuracy.
- Stocks: Tactical stocks improve stability and reduce the 'sway' while aiming.
- Magazines: Extended magazines increase ammo capacity but typically slow down reload times and ADS speed.
Ammunition Types
Ammo is categorized by caliber and projectile type. Each weapon requires a specific caliber to function.
Common Calibers
- 9mm /.45 ACP: Standard pistol and SMG rounds.
- 5.56x45mm / 7.62x51mm: Standard rifle rounds.
- .300 Blackout: Specialized rifle rounds often used with suppressed weapons.
- 12 Gauge: Shotgun shells (Buckshot or Slug).
- .50 BMG: Heavy anti-materiel rounds.
Projectile Variants
- Full Metal Jacket (FMJ): Standard rounds with balanced damage and penetration.
- Hollow Point (HP): Increased damage against unarmored targets but poor performance against armor.
- High Explosive (HE): Adds a small explosive radius to the impact point.
- Incendiary: Ignites targets on hit.
- Non-Lethal: Includes Bean Bags and Pepperballs (often added by the Weapons and Tactics pack).

TaCZ introduces several advanced mechanics that differ from vanilla Minecraft combat.

Combat Systems
- Headshots: Landing a shot on a mob's head deals critical damage, indicated by a red hitmarker.
- Armor Penetration: Different calibers and weapons have varying effectiveness against armored mobs (Zombies in armor, etc.).
- Recoil & Spread: Continuous fire increases bullet spread and pushes the camera upward. Crouching or crawling significantly reduces these effects.
- Weight System: Carrying heavy weapons (like the Minigun or M95) reduces player movement speed.
- Damage Drop-off: Bullets lose damage over long distances, requiring snipers for far-off targets.
