Powah Mod FAQ

Place a Furnator or Magmator and feed it its fuel to make your first power, then run a cable from it to whatever you want to power. Craft the basic tier of each machine first, since higher tiers need the lower ones as ingredients.

Generators like the Furnator, Magmator, Thermo Generator and Solar Panel each convert a different input into FE. Match the generator to the fuel you have on hand, since each one only accepts its own type of input.

The reactor is a multiblock built from Reactor blocks, with fuel rods in the middle and coolant around them. You load it with uranium and it produces large amounts of power, but it also generates heat that must be managed or it will cause problems.

Use the Energizing Orb: place it, put the item inside, and supply it with power from a cable or cell. It slowly energizes the item, and you can also use it to craft certain charged items.

Connect machines with energy cables, which come in several tiers that determine how much power they can move. For long distances or buffering, use an energy cell as an intermediate storage point.

Check that it has valid fuel and that its output side is actually connected to a cable or machine. Also make sure the generator's internal buffer isn't full, since it stops producing when nothing is drawing power.

Use JEI or REI to look up any Powah item and see its recipe directly in-game. Most Powah machines are made at a crafting table or with the Energizing Orb for the charged components.

The Energizing Orb charges items and crafts special Powah components by feeding them power over time. It's required for many mid and late game recipes, so build one early.

Powah uses FE (Forge Energy), so it works with most other tech mods that use the same energy system. You can usually connect Powah cables directly to machines from other mods without extra converters.

Large reactor setups and long cable runs can cause lag if there are too many active machines ticking at once. Keep cable paths short, use higher tier cables instead of many low tier ones, and avoid leaving unused generators running.
