NeoTech Mod 1.11.2, — Guide

World Generation and Resources

NeoTech adds several essential ores to the world generation to support its technological progression. These ores are typically found in the Overworld and are required for crafting machine frames, motherboards, and expansion cards.

Ores and Materials

Ore Harvest Level Common Uses
Copper Stone Basic wiring, machine frames, and Bronze alloy.
Tin Stone Basic machine components and Bronze alloy.
Lead Iron Energy storage components and heavy machinery.
Silver Iron Advanced circuitry and high-tier upgrades.

Alloys

By combining metals in the Alloyer, players can create specialized materials: * Bronze: Created from Copper and Tin; used for early-game tools and machines. * Steel: Created from Iron and Coal; essential for advanced machine frames.

The Motherboard System

The core of NeoTech's machine logic is the Motherboard. Every electric machine requires a motherboard to function. Once installed, the motherboard can be fitted with Expansion Cards to enhance the machine.

Expansion Cards

Players can mix and match these cards to specialize their machines:

  • Speed (Redstone): Increases the processing speed of the machine but increases RF consumption per tick.
  • Efficiency (Lapis): Reduces the RF cost per operation.
  • Capacity (Gold): Increases the internal RF buffer of the machine, allowing it to stay powered during energy spikes.
  • I/O (Iron): Increases the number of items or amount of fluid the machine can process in a single tick.

Logistics: The Pipe Network

NeoTech's pipe system is highly modular. Instead of having separate pipes for every resource, players use a universal Pipe and attach Interfaces to define behavior.

Interface Types

  • Item Interface: Moves items between inventories. Can be set to Extract or Insert.
  • Fluid Interface: Moves liquids between tanks and machines.
  • Energy Interface: Transfers RF between generators, storage cubes, and machines.

Configuration

Interfaces can be configured with filters (Whitelist/Blacklist) and priority settings. Extracting interfaces can be set to always active or controlled by Redstone signals.
