Check Your Optifine Version

Ensure you're running Optifine released after December 2019, as this shader requires a minimum version to function properly. Older versions may cause performance issues or visual glitches.

Reduce Quality Settings

Open Shader Options and look for performance-related toggles. Disable or reduce shadow quality, reflection detail, or other intensive features if your frame rate drops.

Lower Resolution and Render Distance

In Video Settings, reduce render distance and lower your resolution if needed. These changes work alongside shader settings to improve performance without completely disabling the shader.

Use Iris as an Alternative

If Optifine performance remains poor, consider switching to Iris mod instead. Iris is optimized for modern systems and handles this shader more efficiently. The newest Iris version is recommended for the best compatibility and fewest bugs.

Monitor Frame Rate

Use F3 debug screen to watch your FPS. Adjust settings incrementally until you find a balance between visual quality and smooth gameplay.
