Compatibility Basics

Conquest Reforged changes textures and adds blocks, so it works alongside most performance and quality-of-life mods. The main conflicts come from other mods that also overhaul textures or add overlapping block sets.

Steps to a Stable Setup

1. Install Conquest Reforged first and confirm it loads alone before adding anything else.

2. Add shaders through your shader loader of choice. The pack's textures are designed with detailed surfaces, so shaders that emphasize lighting and shadows tend to complement it well.

3. Add building and decoration mods one at a time, launching between each, so you can identify which one causes a conflict.

4. Avoid running a separate medieval resource pack on top — it will override the mod's textures and break the intended look.

5. If blocks appear as missing textures (purple and black), a resource pack is overriding the mod's assets. Disable packs until it resolves.

What to Expect

Performance depends heavily on shader choice and render distance. Large Conquest builds with many unique block types can be heavier than vanilla, so test in a small area before committing to a big project. Keep a backup of your world before adding mods to an existing save.
