Better GUI ships with multiple visual themes for the crafting table and inventory screens, so you can pick the look that matches your setup or mood. Switching styles is done entirely inside the game — no file editing required.

Opening the Style Selector

Open any inventory or crafting screen that the pack affects. Look for the small button the pack adds to the corner of the interface (its exact position depends on which style you are currently using). Clicking it cycles through the available layouts, and the screen redraws immediately so you can preview each one without closing the GUI.

Choosing the Right Style for Your Screen

Each style is tuned for a different situation:

  • The compact layouts are best when you play on a small window or a low-resolution display, since they waste less screen space.
  • The larger, more decorative layouts suit fullscreen play and make slot positions easier to read at a glance.
  • If you use a controller or a touchscreen, pick the style with the biggest, most widely spaced buttons.

Your selection is remembered between sessions, so you only need to set it once. If a style ever looks misaligned, switch to another and back — the interface re-lays itself out when you do.
