Get the files on 9Minecraft
Better GUI exposes a configuration screen so you can fine-tune how its interfaces behave without touching any files by hand. This is the first place to look if a layout feels wrong for your setup.
Reaching the Config Screen
Open the pack's configuration entry from the mod list or the in-game options, depending on how you loaded it. Once open, you will see toggles and sliders grouped by interface — crafting table, player inventory, and shared elements. Changes apply as soon as you confirm them, so you can open a crafting screen right away to check the result.
Options Worth Knowing
- Style/theme selection — picks which visual layout the pack draws.
- Slot highlighting — controls whether hovered slots get an outline, which helps a lot when moving items quickly.
- Background dimming — adjusts how strongly the world behind the GUI is darkened, useful if you find the default too dark or too light.
- Button size and spacing — makes controls easier to hit on high-DPI screens or with a controller.
If you are unsure what a setting does, change one option at a time and reopen an inventory to see the effect. Reset to defaults if you lose track of what you altered.
