Because Better GUI redraws vanilla screens, it can occasionally clash with other interface packs or mods, leaving slots offset, textures missing, or buttons that do not respond. Most problems have a simple cause.

Check for Conflicting Packs

If your crafting or inventory screen looks scrambled, another resource pack is probably overriding the same textures. Move Better GUI above the conflicting pack in your resource pack list so it takes priority, or disable the other pack temporarily to confirm the clash. Interface-affecting mods can also fight over the same screen — test with only Better GUI enabled to isolate the culprit.

Resetting the Layout

If the interface is simply misaligned rather than broken, open the configuration screen and reset the style to its default, then reapply your preferred layout. Switching to a different style and back forces the pack to recalculate slot positions, which clears most offset glitches.

When It Still Looks Wrong

Make sure your GUI scale setting in vanilla options is not set to a value the chosen style was not designed for — try one step up or down. If a specific screen (for example, a modded crafting table) never renders correctly, that screen likely is not covered by the pack, and the vanilla layout is expected there.
