When you create a new character, you'll be prompted to select your race before spawning into the world. Each race (Sculk Worm, Dragonoid, Direwolf, Insect, Lesser Spirit) has different base stats and Intrinsic Skills, so choose based on whether you prefer melee combat, magic, speed, or utility. You can't change your race after creation, so pick carefully.

Unique Skills are race-specific or evolution-specific abilities you learn through progression and leveling. Ultimate Skills are the most powerful abilities in the mod, unlocked only after you master multiple associated Unique Skills, achieve True Demon Lord or True Hero status, and spend a large amount of magic points.

Evolution requirements vary by race and form, but generally involve reaching certain levels, acquiring specific Unique Skills, and meeting stat thresholds or other conditions. Check your race's evolution guide for the exact requirements—some evolutions also require you to be in specific biomes or have particular items in your inventory.

Achieving True Demon Lord or True Hero status is a major progression gate required to unlock Ultimate Skills. The status grants you access to the most powerful abilities in the mod and typically represents reaching an advanced tier of power—the exact method to achieve it depends on your race and playstyle.

Unique Skills level by actively using them in combat and exploration. Make sure you're actually casting or triggering the skill repeatedly; passive skills may level slower. Some skills level faster against certain enemy types, so try fighting different mobs to see if progression increases.
