BioFuelFrequently asked questions
How do I get started with Tech Reborn?
Mine bauxite and other mod ores, then craft a Basic Machine Frame and machine casings to build your first machines like the Alloy Smelter and a generator. Check the Getting Started guide for the exact first-machine order.
How do I make my first power source?
Build a Basic Solar Panel for free daytime power, or a generator that burns fuel like BioFuel or coal. Connect it to machines with cables so they receive energy.
Why isn't my machine doing anything?
Most likely it has no power, no valid input, or its output slot is full. Check that cables connect the machine to a power source and that the recipe matches what the machine accepts.
How do I store energy?
Use a Battery Box for portable or small-scale storage, and Storage Units for larger banks. Charge them from your generators or solar panels, then discharge into machines.
How do I smelt alloys like bronze or electrum?
Use the Alloy Smelter and combine the correct metal dusts or ingots in its input slots. The recipe list in the Alloy Smelter guide shows which combinations produce which alloys.
How do I automate crafting?
Use the Auto Crafting Table for grid-based recipes and the Assembling Machine for machine recipes that need power. Feed them ingredients with hoppers or pipes and pull the output out automatically.
How do I process ores more efficiently?
Build a processing chain: macerate or grind ore into dust, then smelt the dust for extra output, and use the Alloy Smelter for mixed outputs. The Basic Processing Chain guide walks through the order.
What's the difference between a Storage Unit and a Tank Unit?
Storage Units hold energy (EU), while Tank Units hold fluids. Both come in Basic and Advanced tiers, with the Advanced versions holding more.
Does Tech Reborn work with other tech mods?
It generally coexists with other tech mods, but energy systems and cables may not be cross-compatible without converters. Check each mod's documentation for cross-mod energy support.
Why is my game laggy with lots of machines?
Large numbers of active machines, cables, and storage units can hurt performance, especially with frequent block updates. Reduce cable runs, use fewer but larger machines, and avoid leaving idle machines powered.
