Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create a data pack or does this mod work out of the box?
Recipe Reshaper Mod works immediately after installation with its default recipe changes applied. You only need to create a custom data pack if you want to modify or add your own recipe reshapes beyond what the mod provides by default.
How do I convert a full-size crafting recipe into a 2×2 grid recipe?
You don't need to do anything manually—the mod automatically reshapes eligible recipes into smaller grids. If you want to customize which recipes get reshaped, you'll need to create or edit a data pack with your own recipe definitions.
Can I use this mod with other mods that change crafting recipes?
Recipe Reshaper Mod is designed to avoid recipe overlaps with other changes, but conflicts can occur if another mod reshapes the exact same recipe. Test your mod combination in a test world first, and check if the mod's data pack settings let you disable specific recipe changes.
Why am I getting more output from logs than I used to?
Recipe Reshaper Mod increases the output when crafting logs directly into stairs and slabs as part of its default changes. This is intentional and makes those recipes more efficient than the vanilla equivalents.
