Check the Shaft First
Most non-working elevators come down to a broken or obstructed shaft. Walk the full height of your
Elevator Block column and confirm there are no gaps, no missing blocks, and nothing placed inside the travel path. A single stray block or a one-block gap in the column can stop the cabin from completing its trip.
Verify Buttons and Floors
Make sure every floor you expect to reach actually has a
Button Block, and that the button is wired to the correct level. If you added a new floor but forgot its button, the elevator simply has no way to be called there. Also confirm the cabin platform itself is made of the correct blocks and is not stuck against a wall or ceiling.
Rebuild the Problem Section
If the elevator still refuses to move, break and replace the Elevator Blocks around the stuck point, then press a button again to reset the cabin's position. Test one floor at a time so you can isolate which segment fails. In most cases the fix is clearing an obstruction or closing a gap in the column rather than changing the buttons or displays.
