Plan Floors Before You Build

Decide how many levels the elevator will serve and stack them evenly so the Elevator Block column runs straight from the lowest to the highest floor. A straight, aligned shaft is easier to extend later than one that zigzags. Sketch the floor heights first, then build the column to match.

Standardize Each Floor

Give every level the same setup: a Button Block to call the cabin and a Display Block to show its position. Consistency matters because players learn the pattern once and can use it on any floor. Place the button at a uniform height and the display in the same relative spot on each level so the interface feels familiar.

Extend and Maintain the System

When you add a new floor, extend the Elevator Block column upward or downward to reach it, then add that floor's button and display. Test the new level by calling the cabin from both directions. Periodically walk the shaft to confirm no decorations or new construction have intruded into the travel path. A well-planned multi-floor elevator stays reliable as long as the column remains continuous and every level keeps its button and display.
