Stray

The Stray is a hostile mob that spawns naturally in three biomes: Ice Caves, Ice Spikes, and Snowy Plains. A spawn egg for it also exists.

Players defeat Strays to collect the items they drop, which are arrows, bones, and tipped arrows.

Animations

4 of these were recorded inside the running game, so the movement is the animation Mojang shipped rather than an imitation of it. Transparent background, free to download.

Stats

Mojang publishes these numbers in the Bedrock behaviour pack (bedrock-samples); the Java edition keeps them in code, not in any data file. Most values match across editions, but not all — treat them as the Bedrock figures.

Advancements whose own criteria name this entry. Recipe-unlock entries are left out — they never appear on the player’s Advancements screen.
