The Gritshell boss spawns as a sleeping mini-boss hidden under the mud in swamp biomes and will wake up when you walk too close to it.
What rewards do you get for defeating the Gritshell boss?
Defeating the boss drops six to seven special shell shards that can be used to craft shell armor or a heavy morning star weapon.
How does the morning star weapon deal extra damage?
The morning star deals more damage if you hold up your shield right before swinging it, and with the Scaring enchantment it can hit through enemy shields.
What is the shell armor's main ability?
The shell armor is a custom chestplate that lets you hide inside it to block all incoming damage.
