How do I place a diagonal fence in Minecraft?
Place fences normally, then place another fence diagonally adjacent to an existing one so the two connect corner-to-corner instead of edge-to-edge. The mod automatically forms the diagonal connection when the blocks are positioned diagonally from each other.
Why won't my fences connect diagonally?
Diagonal connections only form between two fence posts placed on diagonally touching blocks, not across gaps or over other blocks. Make sure both fences are the same type and that nothing is blocking the corner between them.
Can I mix diagonal and normal fences in the same fence line?
Yes. A single fenced area can contain both ninety-degree and one hundred thirty-five-degree connections, so you can switch between straight runs and diagonal corners freely.
Do diagonal fences have proper collision?
Yes. The hitbox matches the visual shape of the fence, so diagonal sections block movement the same way straight sections do. You can walk along a diagonal fence line without slipping through the corner.
