Brave Structures generates in newly generated chunks, so you'll need to explore areas you haven't visited before to find them. If you want structures in your current base area, you'll need to travel far enough that Minecraft generates fresh terrain.
What's the best way to find a desert palace?
Travel to desert or badlands biomes and explore thoroughly—the mod places these structures naturally in those biomes. Using a map mod or flying in Creative mode first can help you locate them faster.
Are the dark churches only in pale garden biomes?
Yes, dark churches spawn exclusively in pale garden biomes, so you'll need to find or travel to that specific biome to explore one.
