How to Upgrade Your QuantumSuit Armor to Gravitation Suite Tier

Gravitation Suite adds a layer of upgrades on top of IndustrialCraft 2's QuantumSuit. To move from base QuantumSuit to the addon's tier, you need the addon's upgrade items and the corresponding QuantumSuit pieces already crafted.

Preparing the Base Armor

Craft the full QuantumSuit set (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) first. Each piece needs its own upgrade path, so do not skip any. Charge each piece fully in an MFE or MFSU before upgrading — partially charged armor can behave oddly during the upgrade step.

Applying the Upgrade

Place the QuantumSuit piece in a crafting grid together with the addon's upgrade component for that slot. The recipe is shaped, so check the exact layout in JEI/NEI rather than guessing. After crafting, the resulting armor retains the original QuantumSuit protections and adds the Gravitation Suite bonuses (extra energy storage, improved flight, and additional resistances depending on the piece).

What Changes After Upgrading

• The chestplate gains a larger internal energy buffer, so you can fly longer between charges.
• The leggings and boots add movement bonuses and fall protection.
• The helmet keeps its food and water auto-feed but with a bigger reserve.

Recharge the upgraded pieces in an MFSU. If a piece refuses to charge, confirm it is the upgraded variant and not the base QuantumSuit — they use the same slot but different internal IDs.
