How to Craft and Use the GraviChestPlate for Creative-Like Flight

The GraviChestPlate is the headline item of Gravitation Suite. It gives you near-creative flight, but it is expensive and has its own energy rules you must understand before building it.

Crafting Requirements

You need a fully charged QuantumSuit Bodyarmor as the base, plus the addon's advanced components (typically iridium plates, advanced circuits, and a lapotron crystal or similar high-tier energy item). The exact recipe is shaped and uses several rare IC2 materials, so gather iridium and advanced alloys first. Do not attempt this until you have a stable iridium production line.

Flying With It

Equip the GraviChestPlate in the chest slot. Press the IC2 flight key (default: space while airborne after a jump, or the configured boost key) to hover. Unlike the base QuantumSuit, the GraviChestPlate lets you ascend, descend, and hover indefinitely as long as it has charge. Use the mode-switch key to toggle between normal flight and a faster boost mode.

Energy Management

Flight drains EU rapidly. Carry a charged lapotron crystal or MFSU-fed charging station nearby. If the chestplate runs dry mid-air, you fall — keep a jetpack or parachute as backup. Recharge in an MFSU; an MFE will work but is slow.
