Getting Started

There is nothing to craft or activate - the effect works automatically everywhere in your world.

1. Chop down a tree. As soon as the leaves are no longer connected to a log, they begin decaying within seconds.
2. Watch the unsupported canopy clear on its own, dropping saplings, sticks, and apples as it goes.

That is the entire core loop; just break the supporting logs and the leaves take care of themselves.

How It Works

The mod watches for leaf blocks that have lost their supporting log. When you break or cut the log a group of leaves depends on:

• the now-unsupported leaves are flagged for rapid decay,
• they disappear within a few seconds (configurable), spreading outward from where the support was removed,
• as they decay they roll the normal vanilla drop chances for saplings, sticks, and apples (unless you disable drops).

Because it only accelerates the existing decay mechanic, it stays compatible with most tree-related mods and does not change how trees generate or grow.
