Check Client vs Server Installation
On multiplayer servers the mod usually needs to be installed on both the client and the server for the collapse to be visible and consistent. If you installed it only on your client, the server may reject the extra block breaks, and you will see the tree stay standing. Ask the server operator to add the mod, or check whether the server already runs a compatible version. On single-player the mod only needs to be on your client.
Verify the Base Block and Tool
If the mod is installed correctly but a tree still will not fall, confirm three
things: you broke the lowest log, you are using an axe (if the config requires one), and you are not sneaking (if sneak-to-bypass is enabled). Player-placed logs and logs from some modded trees may not be recognised as part of a natural tree, so those will always break
one block at a time.
Modpack and Hosting Conflicts
In modpacks, another mod that overrides block-breaking or tree behaviour can conflict with Falling Tree. Try disabling suspicious tree or mining mods one at a time. On hosted
platforms, make sure the mod file is in the correct mods folder for the loader you are using and that the server has restarted since it was added. If the mod works in single-player but not on the server, the issue is almost always a missing server-side install or a version mismatch.
