The Basic
Enchanting Infuser
The standard Enchanting Infuser lets you pick a specific enchantment from a list and apply it to an item using experience and lapis lazuli. It is the entry-level block: cheaper to craft and sufficient for most everyday enchanting, such as putting Sharpness on a sword or Efficiency on a pickaxe.
The
Advanced Enchanting Infuser
The Advanced Enchanting Infuser is the upgraded version. It offers a wider set of options — most importantly, it lets you control the level of the enchantment you apply and access higher-tier enchantments that the basic block cannot reach. If you want a maxed-out enchantment rather than whatever level the basic block gives, this is the block you want.
Choosing Between Them
- Use the basic infuser when you just need a specific enchantment at a reasonable level and want to save resources.
- Use the advanced infuser when you need a particular enchantment at a specific, higher level, or when the basic block does not list the enchantment you are after.
Both blocks consume experience and lapis lazuli per enchantment, so the advanced version is not free — it simply gives you finer control. Many players keep both: a basic infuser near their base and an advanced one for serious gear projects.
