Obtaining a Dragon Egg

The journey begins with acquiring a Dragon Egg. In standard survival gameplay, this is achieved by defeating the Ender Dragon in The End. Once the dragon is defeated, the egg appears on the exit portal.

• Collection: To collect the egg without it teleporting, players should place a piston facing the egg and activate it, or dig two blocks down and place a torch under the block the egg is sitting on, then break the supporting block.
• Alternative Sources: Depending on world configuration or added structures, dragon eggs may occasionally be found in rare dungeon chests or temple loot.
