Doomlike Dungeons Mod FAQ

It generates large, procedurally generated underground dungeons filled with traps, monster spawners, and loot, inspired by classic first-person shooter level design. The dungeons use no prefabricated rooms, so the entire layout is generated at run time.

The mod file supports Minecraft 1.21.1 through 1.21.2 on NeoForge. The author's project page also lists 1.12.2, 1.19.2, 1.19.3, 1.19.4, and 1.20.1 for Forge.

Look for ruined towers and houses on the surface, which often contain staircases leading down into the dungeon. If EasyFind is enabled in the config, all dungeons will have an entrance with a ruin on the surface.

They can be massive, sometimes stretching across many chunks underground. According to the author, they can be as much as 13 chunks across.

Edit the FrequencyScale setting in the config file. A higher number makes dungeons rarer.

The Difficulty setting in the config controls how many mob spawners the dungeons have. It ranges from 0 (no spawners) to 5 (nightmare).

Yes. NeverInBiomeTypes lets you list biome types where dungeons should not appear, such as the End, and the Dimensions setting lets you specify which dimensions dungeons can or cannot spawn in.

/dldspawn forces a new dungeon to generate in your current chunk. /dldreload reloads the configuration file while in-game.

Yes. The mod can be used server side like a plugin, and the author allows it in any mod pack without asking.
