How Culling Works
Cull Less Leaves targets one specific source of wasted rendering work: the hidden block faces buried inside thick foliage. In a normal tree canopy, most leaf blocks are surrounded by other leaf
blocks, so the faces between them are never actually visible to the player. Vanilla rendering still draws them anyway, which means your GPU spends time on triangles that contribute nothing to the final image.
This mod skips those interior faces. The result is fewer triangles drawn per frame, which matters most when you are standing in or near a jungle, a large forest, or any dense canopy where hundreds of leaf
blocks overlap in your view.
The important trade-off is that nothing about the appearance changes. The outer leaves that you can actually see are still rendered normally, so trees keep their full, natural silhouette. You get the frame rate benefit without the "see-through" look that aggressive leaf culling can cause.
Because the change is purely client-side, it only affects what your own game draws. Servers see you as an ordinary client, and your world saves are untouched.
