The four Cataclysm altars — Altar of Fire, Altar of Void, Altar of Amethyst, and Altar of Abyss — are the mod's ritual crafting stations. Each is tied to a different boss or biome theme.

Placing and Activating an Altar

Craft the altar corresponding to the ritual you want, then place it on a flat, unobstructed surface. Most altar rituals require a specific offering item placed on or used near the altar, plus a trigger action. The Altar of Fire relates to Ignis and Nether content; the Altar of Abyss relates to Abyssal Sacrifice and Abyss-themed summoning; the Altar of Amethyst ties to Amethyst Crab and Blessed Amethyst Crab Meat; the Altar of Void ties to End-themed summoning.

Practical Tips

Build a dedicated ritual room with a roof and walls so mobs cannot wander in mid-ritual. Keep a bucket of water and a shield nearby — some rituals spawn hostile mobs immediately. If a ritual fails, check that you are using the correct offering item and that the altar has clear space above it. Do not stack altars adjacent to each other; leave at least one block of gap so rituals do not interfere.
