How to Summon and Defeat Ignis in the Soul Blacksmith

Ignis is the fire boss of the Soul Blacksmith, and the fight is a test of positioning more than raw damage. You cannot simply walk in and start swinging.

Reaching the Arena

Find the Soul Blacksmith structure in the Nether and descend to the lowest chamber. The boss room is sealed until you trigger the encounter. Bring fire resistance potions, a shield, and a ranged option — Ignis punishes melee-only players who stand still.

The Fight

Ignis cycles through several attacks. Watch for the Flame Jet and Flame Strike telegraphs, which lock a direction before firing — strafe sideways, not backward, since the flames travel in a line. When Ignis leaps or charges, keep your distance and punish the recovery window. Ignited Berserker and Ignited Revenant adds can spawn during the fight; clear them quickly or they will chip you down while you dodge.

Rewards

Defeating Ignis drops Ignitium-related materials and unlocks access to the Soul Blacksmith's deeper rewards. Use the loot to craft high-tier gear before attempting harder Cataclysm bosses. Do not attempt Ignis without at least diamond-tier armor and a reliable healing source.
