How to Find and Beat the Ender Guardian

The Ender Guardian is one of the mod's toughest encounters and lives in a dedicated arena structure. Preparation matters more than reflexes here.

Locating the Arena

Search for the Ender Guardian's arena in the End or in a dedicated Cataclysm structure. The approach is guarded by Endermaptera and Ender Golems, so clear the outer ring before entering the central chamber. Bring blocks to pillar up and break line of sight.

Surviving the Fight

The Ender Guardian fires Ender Guardian Bullets and a Death Laser Beam. The laser sweeps in a wide arc — move perpendicular to the beam, never try to outrun it in a straight line. When the Guardian teleports, reacquire it immediately; standing still invites a point-blank bullet volley. Use the Azure Sea Shield to block projectiles when you cannot dodge.

Damage Windows

The Guardian is briefly vulnerable after its laser sweep and after teleport recovery. Save burst damage for those moments. Bring plenty of golden apples and a totem if you have one. Defeating it yields Ender Guardian loot used in top-tier Cataclysm crafting.
