How to Start Blue Skies: Your First Steps After Installing

Read the Blue Journal

When you first spawn or craft your starting items, you receive a Blue Journal. This is your in-game guide. Open it and read through the entries — it explains the mod's progression, the two dimensions, and the crafting steps you need. Do not skip this; the mod gates progression behind journal-documented recipes.

Craft the Alchemy Table

Your first major crafting station is the Alchemy Table. Gather the ingredients listed in the journal and craft it. The Alchemy Table unlocks the mod's unique crafting recipes, including portal frame components and tools. Place it in your base and interact with it to see available recipes.

Gather Early Resources

Before heading to the new dimensions, stock up on Overworld basics: wood, stone, food, and torches. The Everbright and Everdawn dimensions are dangerous, and you cannot easily return without a working portal. Craft basic armor and a weapon. Once you have the Alchemy Table running and a portal frame built, you are ready to step through. The journal will guide you toward the specific materials each dimension offers.
