How to Progress Through Blue Skies Gear Tiers

Starting Tier: Aquite

Aquite is the first major material tier in Blue Skies. You find Aquite Ore in both Everbright and Everdawn. Mine it, smelt or process it as the journal directs, and craft the full Aquite tool and armor set: sword, pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. This set is your baseline for surviving the dimensions.

Mid and Late Tiers

As you explore deeper, you encounter other materials: Charoite, Diopside, Falsite, and Horizonite. Each has its own block form and corresponding gear. The Blue Journal documents the progression order and which dimension each material comes from. Do not skip tiers — later mobs and bosses will overwhelm you in Aquite gear.

Tools Beyond Gear

Blue Skies adds utility items alongside weapons and armor. The Astrolabe is a navigation or utility tool, and the Aquatic Arc is a ranged weapon. Craft these once you have the required materials and recipes unlocked at the Alchemy Table. Check the journal for each item's recipe. Upgrade your gear tier by tier, and keep spare tools in a chest near your portal so you can re-gear quickly after a death.
