It adds tiered magnets that instantly pull items and experience orbs into your inventory, even through walls or lava. It also adds anti-magnet countermeasures for automation and PvP.

It adds five tiers of magnets (tiers 1-4 and an ultimate tier), an Anti-Magnet block, and an Anti-Magnet item. The magnets can also work as a Bauble.

By default, the first tier has a radius of 2 blocks, and each tier above adds 2 more, up to 14 blocks for the ultimate tier. Each tier's radius is configurable.

You can enable or disable your magnet with a keybind, and it tells you in chat which one you just did.

Yes, the magnets instantly suck items into your inventory through walls or lava without losing the item. They also work on XP orbs.

When placed, it stops items within 5 blocks above or below it from being sucked up by a magnet. It is not a tile entity, so you can place as many as you like without causing lag, but it does not stop XP orbs.

When it is in a player's inventory, it turns off all magnets they have, meaning they must turn them back on to use them. Throwing it near someone makes their magnet suck it up, which immediately disables their magnet.

The mod is available for Minecraft 1.12.2 and 1.11.2.
