Blocks
YABBA adds several functional blocks to the game, each serving a specific role in your storage network.
Item Barrel
The core block of the mod. By default, it stores a single type of item with a capacity of 64 stacks (4,096 items). It features a front-facing display that shows the icon of the stored item and the current count.
AntiBarrel
The AntiBarrel is designed specifically for items that do not stack (max stack size of 1) or items with NBT data (like damaged tools). It can store up to 1,024 unique items. It features a GUI for browsing and retrieving items, which is essential for managing large collections of equipment or enchanted books.
Item Barrel Connector
This block acts as a central hub for a network of barrels. When placed against a wall of barrels (or connected via Barrel Trims), it allows external automation systems to see the entire contents of the connected barrels as a single inventory. It is commonly used with the AE2 Storage Bus.
Compound Item Barrel
A specialized version of the barrel that is non-interactive and non-upgradable. It is intended strictly for use with automation (pipes/hoppers) and the Barrel Connector, serving as a high-capacity buffer that players cannot accidentally mess with via right-clicking.
Decorative Block
A purely aesthetic block that shares the same model and skinning capabilities as the Item Barrel but lacks any storage capacity. It is used to fill gaps in storage walls or for general building.

Tools
YABBA provides three essential tools for managing and customizing your storage.
Barrel Wrench
Used to move barrels without spilling their contents. * Sneak + Right-click: Picks up the barrel into your inventory. The barrel will retain all items and upgrades. * Right-click: Rotates the barrel's face.
Barrel Hammer
Used to change the physical model of a barrel. By Sneak + Right-clicking in the air, you can cycle through available models: * Barrel: The classic rounded look. * Crate: A flat, square box. * Half-Slab: A thin version that sits on the wall. * Cover: A flat panel that looks like a full block but takes up minimal space.
Barrel Painter
Used to change the texture (skin) of a barrel. 1. Sneak + Right-click a block in the world to "copy" its texture. 2. Right-click a YABBA barrel to apply that texture to the barrel's frame.
Recipes
Most YABBA recipes are inexpensive, utilizing wood and basic materials to encourage early-game use.
Basic Barrel
- Ingredients: 4x Logs, 3x Planks, 1x Wood Slab.
- Pattern: Logs in the corners, planks on the sides/bottom, slab in the top-center.
Blank Barrel Upgrade
- Ingredients: 7x Paper, 1x Wood Slab, 1x Chest.
- Pattern: Chest in the center, slab on top, paper in all other slots.
Tier Upgrades (Iron/Gold/Diamond)
- Iron Tier: 4x Iron Ingots + 1x Blank Upgrade.
- Gold Tier: 4x Gold Ingots + 1x Iron Tier Upgrade.
- Diamond Tier: 4x Diamonds + 1x Gold Tier Upgrade.
