Pop-out Clocks — FAQ

Compatibility

• Texture packs - no conflict unless the other pack also redefines the clock item. If it does, whichever pack sits higher in the selected list wins.
• Shaders - fine, and the raised case picks up shader lighting the flat sprite never could.
• Servers - client side only. Other players see their own version of the clock; you see yours.
• Mods that add clocks - untouched. Only the vanilla clock item is redefined.

The download is tiny and adds no measurable cost, since only a handful of small models are involved.

Notes

• The effect is easiest to appreciate from an angle: face-on, the difference is the rim; from the side, the whole case stands off the wall.
• A row of framed clocks makes a good entrance or shop decoration and needs no redstone at all.
• Nothing is stored in the world, so the pack is safe to add or remove from an existing save at any time.
• If a framed clock still looks flat, check the pack is above any other pack that touches the clock item.
