What does the Packages Mod do?
It adds packages that can hold up to 8 stacks (512) of a single item, acting like a more limited shulker box. Packages can be nested inside each other and even stack when they contain the same contents.
What items and blocks does the Packages Mod add?
The mod registers the Package Maker block and Sticky Syrup. It also adds the Package Crafter, which can be built out of spare wood bits to create Packages with any combination of blocks and a dye.
How many items can a package hold?
Each package can hold up to 8 stacks, or 512 items, of any one item. There are no capacity upgrades and the size is not configurable.
What Minecraft versions does the Packages Mod support?
It supports Minecraft 1.18.1, 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.19.4, 1.20.1, and 1.21.1. Older versions are unmaintained.
What mod loaders does the Packages Mod support?
The mod lists Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt as loaders. On 1.21.1 it is available for Fabric and NeoForge, and on 1.20.1 for Fabric and Forge.
Does the Packages Mod need any dependencies?
On Fabric 1.20.1, users of Sodium may need to install Indium or models will look weird. On NeoForge, you should enable the "NeoForge Light Pipeline" in Mods, then NeoForge, then Client settings.
How do you insert and remove items from a package?
Click the front face of the package to insert or remove items, with no need to use an empty hand. Hold CTRL to completely fill or empty a package with one click, and you can also interact with packages in your inventory like a Bundle.
Can Packages be nested inside each other?
Yes, if you want to store more than 512 items you can nest packages inside each other. Packages can also stack when they contain the same contents.
How do you make a package sticky?
You make a package sticky so it won't forget its contents when empty. Sticky Syrup is the item associated with this.
Do Packages work with comparators, pistons, and dispensers?
Yes, other than their size, packages behave like cheap shulker boxes. You can measure them with a comparator, crush them with a piston, and dispense with a dispenser, and shulker box loader and unloader designs work great on them.
