Craft a Dictionary Of Spirits, which serves as the mod's guide book and explains rituals and progression. Use it to learn which spirits to summon and which chalk and sacrificial bowls each ritual requires.

Draw the ritual pattern on the ground using chalk (such as White, Black, Blue, or other colored chalk) with a Chalk Brush. Place the required sacrificial bowl (Copper, Silver, Golden, Iesnium, or Dark variants) and offerings at the marked spots, then activate the ritual to summon the spirit.

Chalk comes in many colors including White, Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, Light Gray, Lime, Magenta, Orange, Pink, and Purple, plus Impure variants of each. Different rituals require specific chalk colors to draw their patterns.

Iesnium comes as Ingots and Nuggets, and can be stored as Blocks of Iesnium or Blocks of Raw Iesnium. It is used to craft tools like the Iesnium Pickaxe, Iesnium Butcher Knife, and Iesnium Anvil, as well as Iesnium Ritual Bowls.

Start with a Book of Binding: Empty, then use it in the appropriate ritual to bind a specific spirit, producing books like Book of Binding: Foliot, Book of Binding: Djinni, Book of Binding: Afrit, or Book of Binding: Marid. Bound versions such as Book of Binding: Foliot (Bound) and Book of Binding: Djinni (Bound) are also obtainable.

Books of Calling assign a bound spirit to a specific job, such as Book of Calling: Foliot Farmer, Foliot Lumberjack, Foliot Janitor, Foliot Transporter, or Djinni Machine Operator. Each book summons a spirit that performs that task automatically.

Storage uses the Dimensional Storage Actuator and Dimensional Storage Stabilizer Base, with Dark variants (Dark Dimensional Storage Actuator, Dark Dimensional Storage Stabilizer Base, Dark Stabilized Dimensional Storage Actuator) for larger setups. These connect via Entity Wormhole and Dark Entity Wormhole blocks to move items between dimensions.

The Dimensional Mineshaft is a ritual-summoned structure that produces ore over time, often paired with a Deep Ore Miner Afrit or Eldritch Ancient Miner. It appears as a multiblock placed in the world after the corresponding ritual completes.

Silver exists as Blocks of Silver, Blocks of Raw Silver, Cut Silver, Chiseled Silver, and Cut Silver Slabs and Stairs. It is used to craft Silver Sacrificial Bowls (including Dark Silver Sacrificial Bowl) and decorative blocks.

Spirit Fire is a special fire produced by occultism:spirit_fire recipes, used to convert items into other forms. It is required in many crafting chains that produce essences and ritual components.

Essences such as Afrit Essence, Cruelty Essence, Demon's Dream Essence, and Dragonyst Dust are crafting ingredients produced through rituals and spirit fire. They are consumed in further rituals and crafting recipes.

Familiars are equipped via the Familiar Ring, Familiar Glove, or Familiar Tablet, which grant passive effects while worn. Awakened Feather and other familiar-related items are obtained through rituals and used to enhance familiar abilities.
