NetEase Cloud Music — FAQ
Notes and Limits
- Only mp3 and flac are decoded. Other formats simply fail to play.
- The song length you type is what the machine counts; it is not read from the file.
- Audio streams over the network as the song plays, so a slow or unreachable link means silence rather than an error you can hear.
- A local file path plays only for the person who has that file.
- Written discs keep their song in the item itself, so they can be traded, stored in a chest, or carried into another world.
- The lookup-by-ID feature depends on an outside service being reachable; the direct-link route does not.
