Find Ametrine or Aquamarine ore underground, mine it with at least an iron pickaxe, and smelt the raw drops into ingots. From there you can craft tools, armor, and decorative blocks using the crystal shards and ingots you collect.

Both ores require at least an iron pickaxe to drop anything. Mining them with stone or lower will destroy the ore without yielding items.

They generate underground like other gem ores, typically in the lower half of the world. Aquamarine tends to appear in wetter or deeper areas, while Ametrine spawns in similar deep stone layers.

Place a crystal cluster on a suitable surface and let it grow through its stages over time, similar to amethyst. You can harvest mature clusters with a pickaxe to get crystal shards, and use silk touch to move them intact.

Crystal shards are the raw gem material used to craft crystal blocks, bricks, pillars, and other decorative pieces. They also feed into recipes for the mod's tools and armor alongside ingots.

Use ingots in the same shaped recipes as iron gear — pickaxes, swords, armor pieces, and so on. The gemstone gear sits above iron in stats, so it's a natural upgrade once you have enough ingots.

Ametrine and Aquamarine gear is stronger than iron but generally sits below diamond-tier in durability and damage. It's a solid mid-game upgrade if you have the ingots and want better stats before diamond.

Schist is a decorative stone that generates alongside the gem ores and comes in slabs, stairs, and walls. It's mainly used for building — pair it with crystal bricks and pillars for a cohesive gemstone-themed base.

Yes — silk touch lets you pick up crystal clusters and ore blocks intact so you can relocate or display them. Without silk touch, clusters break into shards and ore drops raw materials.

It's a lightweight content mod that adds ores, gear, and decorative blocks, so it generally plays fine alongside other mods and doesn't add heavy worldgen or entity load. If you're using it in a big pack, just watch ore generation conflicts with other gem mods.
