Morph-o-Tool 9minecraft Mod — Guide
Getting Started
There are two quick steps: craft the Morphing Tool, then teach it your tools.
1. Craft the Morphing Tool. In a crafting table use three dyes (red, green and blue) together with iron ingots in the following shape:
[ ][G][B]
[ ][I][R]
[I][ ][ ]
Where G = green dye, B = blue dye, R = red dye and I = iron ingot. This gives you one Morphing Tool.
2. Store your tools. Put the Morphing Tool and one of your other mod tools or wrenches together in a crafting grid. The tool is absorbed into the Morphing Tool and its tooltip will list everything it is currently holding (for example a pickaxe, an axe and a shovel). Repeat for every tool or wrench you want to carry.
After that, just hold the Morphing Tool. When you interact with a block or machine, it automatically morphs into the matching stored tool, so you never have to dig through your inventory again.
Features
- One item for every tool - combine all your modded wrenches and tools into a single Morphing Tool and free up your hotbar.
- Automatic context morphing - the tool switches to the right stored tool for whatever block, machine or item you are interacting with.
- Tooltip readout - hover the Morphing Tool to see exactly which tools it currently holds; hold SHIFT for more info.
- Offhand support - optionally morph in your offhand instead of your main hand.
- Fine-grained control - whitelist or blacklist specific items, whitelist by name, blacklist entire mods, and set up mod aliases.
- In-game config screen - change every option live from the mod's config menu, no files to edit.
- Single-player and multiplayer - works in solo worlds and on servers.
Tips
- Store your most-used wrenches first - the Morphing Tool always picks the correct one for the machine you are aiming at.
- Use Blacklisted Mods to keep tools you prefer to hold separately (for example a favourite mining tool) out of the Morphing Tool.
- Turn on Offhand Morph if you like to keep the Morphing Tool in your offhand while building or fighting with your main hand.
- Hover the tool and hold SHIFT to double-check everything it is carrying before a big build or machine session.
- It shines in kitchen-sink and tech modpacks where wrenches and configurators quickly overflow your inventory.
