Troubleshooting

"Missing or unsupported mandatory dependencies: magmacore" — the required library is not in the mods folder, or an older build is. Replace it with the 26.2 build.

The game starts but the dependent mod is missing from the list — the two files are for different Minecraft versions. Both must be 26.2 builds.

Nothing appears in game after installing only Magma Core — that is expected. It is a library; it has no content of its own.

Update messages in chat — these come from the update checker inside Magma Core, reporting on the mods that use it.
