Use Landmarks and Waypoints

The shader's camera sway, double vision, and warped lens make it hard to judge distance and direction. Mark important locations with torches, signs, or distinctive blocks before the visual effects make navigation confusing.

Move Slowly and Deliberately

The tilting ground and chromatic aberration distort your sense of depth. Walk instead of sprint, and pause frequently to reorient yourself. This prevents accidental falls or walking into hazards.

Stay in Familiar Areas

Explore new terrain without the shader active, then enable it once you know the layout. The tunnel vision and color splitting make it dangerously easy to miss cliffs, water, or lava in unfamiliar places.

Build Railings and Barriers

Protect yourself from falls by adding fences, walls, or barriers around dangerous drops. The shader's distortion makes depth perception unreliable, so physical safeguards are essential.

Use F5 (Third-Person View) Strategically

Switching to third-person temporarily can help you see your character's position more clearly when the first-person view becomes too disorienting, though the shader effects still apply.
