Checking How Others See You

This mod helps you verify that your nametag displays correctly in multiplayer environments. By seeing your own nametag in third-person view, you can confirm it matches what other players observe.

Testing Your Nametag

1. Join a multiplayer server or world

2. Press F5 to switch to third-person view

3. Look at your nametag above your character model

4. Note the exact text, color, and position

5. Ask another player to describe what they see above your head

6. Compare the two descriptions to ensure consistency

What to Check

Verify that your username displays correctly without formatting errors. Check that any cosmetics, prefixes, or suffixes added by server plugins appear as intended. Confirm the nametag isn't clipping through blocks or appearing in unexpected locations. If you use a custom skin, ensure the nametag positions itself properly relative to your character model's head.

This is particularly useful after changing your username or when troubleshooting visibility issues reported by other players.
