Realistic Item Drops FAQ

Use the mod's config file to toggle the physics behavior globally, or use its in-game commands to switch it on the fly. Changes to the config usually need a game or world reload to take effect.

Physics drops can slip through unloaded chunks, thin blocks, or gaps at chunk borders. Keep chunks loaded around your builds and avoid dropping items over edges or unloaded terrain.

Yes, physics items still follow the usual despawn timer once they come to rest. If you need them to persist longer, adjust the relevant config option rather than expecting them to stay forever.

Hoppers only grab items that land on or above them, so route drops onto a hopper surface or use a water stream to guide them in. Items resting on the ground next to a hopper won't be collected.
