Passive Shield Mod changes the shield defense mechanics. When the shield is in the off-hand and not actively used, it doesn’t appear visually. Each time the player right-clicks to raise the shield, it becomes visible.

What does the Passive Shield Mod change about shield mechanics?
It makes the shield invisible when held in the off-hand and not actively raised, while still providing passive damage reduction. Right-clicking to raise the shield makes it visible again.
How much damage does the shield block when it isn't raised?
By default, it passively reduces 33% of incoming damage. This value can be adjusted in the mod's config.
Can I change how much damage the passive shield blocks?
Yes, the passiveShieldPercentageDamageNegated config option lets you set the passive damage reduction anywhere from 0% to 100%.
Does the shield still protect me if it's not visible on screen?
Yes, even when the shield isn't rendered, it still mitigates a portion of incoming damage. The passive protection applies as long as the shield is in your off-hand.
