Adjusting the Look
Neat's whole appeal is a compact overlay, but the defaults may still feel busy. In the config you'll find controls for the bar's height, the spacing between stacked bars, and whether the bar sits above or beside the entity's name. Lowering the bar height and spacing gives you a tight, minimal look that works well in combat where lots of mobs are on screen.
You can also toggle whether the numeric health value is shown alongside the bar, and whether the entity's name appears at all. Turning off names and keeping only the bar is a common choice for PvP or mob-farm setups.
Distance and Visibility
The max-distance option controls how far away an entity can be before its bar disappears. Reduce it if you only want to track
things right in front of you; increase it if you're scanning a large area. There's also a setting for whether bars render through walls or only when the entity is in your line of sight — the latter keeps
things tidy in caves and buildings.
If bars flicker or overlap when many entities stack up, enable the option that merges or offsets overlapping bars. Test your settings in a crowded area like a village or spawner room and tweak until the overlay reads clearly at a glance.
