The chunk boundary overlay draws a grid on the ground so you can see exactly where one chunk ends and the next begins. This is essential when you are aligning a farm, a mob spawner platform, or a redstone build to chunk edges.
Turning the overlay on
Open the overlay's configuration screen (bound to a hotkey you set in your controls, or reachable from the mod list's config button). Find the chunk boundary option and enable it. Once active, a grid appears in the world around you. You can usually adjust the grid's color and opacity in the same screen if the default lines are hard to see against your terrain.
Using it while building
Stand at a corner you want to anchor your build to and watch where the grid lines fall. Place your first block on a line intersection so the structure stays inside a single chunk, or deliberately straddle lines when you want a build to span multiple chunks. Walk along a line to confirm the boundary is straight before laying a long row of blocks.
Reading it correctly
The grid marks chunk edges, not block centers. A chunk is a square region of the world, so the lines form a repeating square pattern. If you only need boundaries occasionally, bind a toggle key so you can flip the overlay on and off without opening the config each time.
