Frequently asked questions
Is Irregular Implements the same as the old Random Things mod?
Yes, it is a remake of Random Things built for modern Minecraft. Most of the classic mechanics, including the Spectre Key, Ender Bridges, and floor plates, work just like they did in the original mod.
How do I get into my pocket dimension?
Hold a Spectre Key and use it to open a doorway into your personal Spectre room. This space is private to your character, making it a safe spot for storage or going AFK from anywhere in the world.
Why isn't my Ender Bridge teleporting me?
An Ender Bridge requires a clear line of sight looking directly at a placed Ender Anchor to connect. Make sure you are standing on the bridge, looking straight at the anchor's position, and holding completely still while the teleport charges.
How does the Portable Ender Bridge work compared to the block version?
Instead of standing on a placed Ender Bridge block, you can hold the Portable Ender Bridge in your hand and look toward an Ender Anchor to teleport on the go. It uses the exact same anchor network around your base without needing a starting platform.
Why did my Escape Rope fail to work underground?
The Escape Rope works by searching upward for a clear path to the sky so it can bring you back to the surface. Make sure you hold the use button while holding the rope until the teleport finishes, rather than just clicking once.
How do I put dropped items into chests using floor plates?
Use Accelerator Plates or directional item plates to push loose drops across the floor toward your storage area. At the end of the line, place an extraction or insertion plate next to a chest or hopper to feed the items directly inside.
Do Accelerator Plates work on mobs too, or just items?
They push both dropped items and walking mobs forward at high speeds. This makes them great for sweeping mobs toward a central drop chute or grinding area in a mob farm without needing water streams.
How do I make a secret door open when I type a password?
Place a Chat Detector near your door and configure it to listen for a specific message in chat. Connect its redstone output to a Block Destabilizer touching your wall blocks so they temporarily vanish whenever you send that message.
Did the Block Destabilizer permanently delete my blocks?
No, the Block Destabilizer only removes connected blocks temporarily while triggered, then puts them right back into place. Just be careful when placing it next to common terrain like stone, so it only targets the exact wall or floor section you want to clear.
What is the point of the Ender Bucket over a normal bucket?
The Ender Bucket lets you scoop up liquid source blocks from a distance without having to stand right next to fluid hazards like deep lava lakes. It also helps manage liquids cleanly when exploring caves without filling your inventory with standard iron buckets.
