Overview

Icterine is a small server-side performance mod. It optimizes the way Minecraft handles advancement triggers that fire when items enter your inventory (the InventoryChangeTrigger). On busy worlds and servers these checks run constantly and can add up to real tick lag; Icterine removes the unnecessary work while keeping every advancement working exactly as before.

Frequently asked questions

What does Icterine actually do?
It speeds up server tick rates by cleaning up how the game checks inventory advancements. It skips unnecessary advancement checks so busy item sorting doesn't cause extra tick lag.
When does Icterine skip advancement trigger checks?
It skips checks whenever item stacks shrink or get cleared out of inventory slots. This avoids running background tasks that aren't needed.
Does Icterine still let advancements unlock normally?
Yes, every advancement still unlocks as usual. It just removes the redundant checks that would otherwise run on every stack change.
How does Icterine know when to actually run a check?
It remembers item count goals from loaded advancements, so the server only runs checks when counts reach the target numbers. It also stops multi-part checks early when an item doesn't match what the advancement needs.
